چکیده
Aims: Recombinant proteins rP2 has demonstrated biological activity in inflammation by acting on the recruitment of leukocytes and inducing phagocytosis, also modulating processes angiogenesis fibrogenesis different experimental models. In this study we evaluated effects recombinant protein rP21 from Trypanosama cruzi cutaneous wounds.
Study Design: The wounds were induced back mice treated with at 1 µg/mL 50 concentration, for 3 7 days.
Location Duration: Institute Biomedical Sciences Animal Breeding Network Rodents Federal University Uberlândia, between February 2015 2016.
Methodology: contraction time wound, inflammatory cell activities (neutrophils macrophages), local collagen density evaluated.
Sample: Wound induction was performed 64 male BALB / c approximately 9 weeks old.
Results: Wounds showed less closure time, addition to exhibiting greater neutrophil initial phasis, which reduced simultaneously increased macrophage activity. pro-angiogenic pro-fibrogenic model.
Conclusion: These results demonstrate first potential accelerating skin tissue repair.

A Recombinant Protein Based on Trypanosoma cruzi P21 Enhances Phagocytosis
BACKGROUND P21 is a secreted protein expressed in all developmental stages of Trypanosoma cruzi. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the recombinant protein based on P21 (P21-His(6)) on inflammatory macrophages during phagocytosis. FINDINGS Our results showed that P21-His(6) acts as a phagocytosis inducer by binding to CXCR4 chemokine receptor and activating actin polymerizat...

Hepatic fibrosis, a progressive chronic disease mainly caused by hepatitis viral infections, alcohol abuse or metabolic syndrome leading to liver dysfunction and is the growing cause of mortality worldwide. Tyrosine kinase inhibitor BIBF1120 (Nintedanib) has been evaluated in clinical trials for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and advanced Hepatocellular carcinoma, but has not been explored for l...
متن کاملA recombinant tyrosine aminotransferase from Trypanosoma cruzi has both tyrosine aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities.
Tyrosine aminotransferase purified from epimastigotes of Trypanosoma cruzi displays an additional activity of alanine aminotransferase, absent in all other tyrosine aminotransferases characterized so far. Since the parasite's genome contains a high number of copies of the tyrosine aminotransferase gene, we could not rule out the possibility that two very similar proteins, with changed specifici...
متن کاملTrypanosoma cruzi antigens induce inflammatory angiogenesis in a mouse subcutaneous sponge model.
Acute inflammation and angiogenesis are persistent features of several pathological conditions induced by biological agents leading to the resolution of local and systemic events. Glycoproteins derived from the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi are suggested to mediate angiogenesis induced by inflammatory cells with still undescribed mechanisms. In this study, we investigated the effects of total ant...

Higher plants are a potential source of new drugs to improve the treatment of Chagase disease, which is affecting 16-18 million people, with more than 100 million exposed to the risk of infection (Ambrozin et al., 2004; Coura & Castro, 2002). Current therapy is unsatisfactory, because the only two drugs available, benznidazole and nifortimox possess severe side effects and their activity is lim...
